tickscript.compute() function

tickscript.compute() is a user-contributed function maintained by the package author.

tickscript.compute() is an alias for tickscript.select() that changes a column’s name and optionally applies an aggregate or selector function.

Function type signature
(<-tables: B, as: string, ?column: A, ?fn: (<-: B, column: A) => stream[C]) => stream[D] where A: Equatable, C: Record, D: Record

Parameters

as

(Required) New column name.

column

Column to operate on. Default is _value.

fn

Aggregate or selector function to apply.

tables

Input data. Default is piped-forward data (<-).

If using Docker to install and run InfluxDB, the latest tag will point to InfluxDB 3 Core. To avoid unexpected upgrades, use specific version tags in your Docker deployments. For example, if using Docker to run InfluxDB v2, replace the latest version tag with a specific version tag in your Docker pull command–for example:

docker pull influxdb:2
