influx remote create

This page documents an earlier version of InfluxDB. InfluxDB v2.3 is the latest stable version. View this page in the v2.3 documentation.

Replication remotes and replication streams can only be configured for InfluxDB OSS.

The influx remote create command creates a new remote InfluxDB connection for replicating data.

Examples

Authentication credentials

The examples below assume your InfluxDB host, organization, and token are provided by the active influx CLI configuration. If you do not have a CLI configuration set up, use the appropriate flags to provide these required credentials.

Create a new remote with InfluxDB Cloud

influx remote create \
  --name myremote \
  --org-id <OSS org ID> \
  --token <OSS token> \
  --remote-url <remote URL> \
  --remote-api-token <remote token> \
  --remote-org-id <remote ord ID>
